SAGE University Bhopal students won First Prize in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2023
In a remarkable display of skill and innovation, students from the School of Advanced Computing and School of Engineering & Technology at Sanjeev Agrawal Global Educational (SAGE) University, Bhopal, secured the First Prize in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2023 held at Oriental College of Science & Technology, Bhopal (Nodal Center). The team, named 'EcoSmart Devs,' was led by Tanya Shekhawat, accompanied by team members Aniket Kajania, Prateek Khatri, Sumit Choudhary, Sanjali Khare, and Ayush Namdev, under the mentorship of Prof. Chandan Kumar, Faculty of the School of Advanced Computing. Competing against 22 teams in a rigorous 36-hour coding marathon, they tackled complex real-time problems faced by the Ministries of Coal, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, and Ministry of Textiles. Their distinction among 200 participants from various states showcased not only their technical prowess but also their endurance and teamwork. This victory, earning them a substantial prize of 1 Lakh rupees, not only brings honor to Sage University, Bhopal but also sets a high standard for future participants.
