Happy Women's Day - Reflections Of A Women Artists
Happy Women's Day! Support Women Artists Now! Like/share this post or buy an artwork!
Reflecting on my own journey as an independent women artist, I have to say it is a tough path. Nevertheless, I have chosen to persevere...Support was rare, nearly non-existent. Many fake promises, lies and betrayals appeared in form of people promising to help me organising exhibitions or promoting my artworks. At the end, I had to realise that they had other motives and never intended to support me. On those social media profiles, most of time, you never meet real art collectors and most of the time scammers who want to buy a fucking NFT. To sum it up, a lot of bullshit is going on...
And my experience with the mainstream art market - if you do not have contacts with all those business men who control it, forget this thing. They just will exploit you and take a lot of money that you get in this or that so-called prestigious art gallery or art fair. You will not make anything out if it. Most of the time, they have already chosen their artists and they are the only ones who will be promoted.
Facing all those obstacles, many women artists give up and listen to their environments that it is better to get a real job and to stop focusing on their art. However, this is not the solution. Without their art, they start to exist...
Despite all the obstacles, I decided to continue on my artistic journey and to open the page of new chapter. I tell myself that I will not let my future path as an artist be determined by all the bullshit I encountered in the past. I prefer to focus on the positive memories of numerous exhibitions all over the world and continue to create future plans for my exhibitions. I tell myself that I will meet people who will really appreciate my art and support me. I will meet real art collectors and art buyers interested in my art. I will discover more venues outside the box where I can organise fabulous art exhibitions. And I never stop dreaming big...I deserve the best...
And I am deeply grateful for my spirit artist friend Rozz, for his motivation and support! I love you! ❤️
