I saw a photo of a funny sign at stonewall, read something like, I have to get back to brunch but I’m here, I thought it was funny bc self-deprecating. Anyway is brunch truly a NY phenomenon? I’ve had brunch once and it was a “business” brunch. I think cities that are much more leisurely can claim it, NY has no time

I don’t think brunch is only a NY thing, but for some reason for the people who watch too much Sex and the City and love to talk about how New York they are, it’s a Thing.
