I just noticed that both Ran and Haibara have a scene in their ending themes (sung by the same artist) where they both let out a scream. Haibara screaming in her mind, unable to escape the direct light. Ran screaming in the darkness. Haibara is surrounded by the Agasa and the Detective Boys and Ran has Masumi and Sonoko by her side.
I love how they have both have a rare expression of their emotions mirroring one another in a way that suits their characters.
