these two are immensely attentive and will pick up on any symptoms you show even before you might get the chance to realise you’re sick… even if, in the moment, they don’t necessarily clock it as an incoming illness
for example, if you suddenly start feeling more sluggish and tired than usual then they’re going to work together to ensure you actually get the rest you need (eda by outright tackling you to the bed, and raine by calling into work on your behalf and getting you some time off)
and when the more unpleasant symptoms kick in they’ll both be there to dote on you even as you try to shoo them away because you feel gross or like you’re taking up too much of their time
(which is utter nonsense, by the way, and they’ll tell you as much themselves!)
raine will be right there by your side to sing you to sleep when you’re struggling to drift off, and to make and feed you comfort recipes that their own parents used to make when they were sick as a child, and to hold back your hair and wipe your face clean when you’re throwing up, and to help you get comfortable in bed as your needs change throughout the day (too hot, too hold, too much, not enough) — all without complaint or hesitation
eda will be there to help fetch and prepare the medicine you need no matter how many journeys out of the house she needs to take, and to get you out of your own head when you’re spiralling because of the amount of help you need (e.g. moving around the house, eating, bathing, etc.), and to offer playful banter as a distraction from any pain you might be in, and to chase away anyone who tries to interfere with your recovery (be that by unintentionally stressing you out, making you feel bad for missing something important, or whatever else) — trying to keep the mood as light as possible so you don’t get the time to feel guilty or grim for needing help
and it doesn’t matter whether your illness lasts a few hours, a few days, a few weeks, or if it becomes a chronic/recurring situation, because they’ll carry through that same devotion to your care and adoration for you for as long as it takes — even if it lasts forever — because that’s what partners do
