So just finished the Hossberg questline. Got this screenshot and I was like, 'aw, Emmrich's staring right at Rook and he's surrounded by flowers. that's adorable'

Then I decided to zoom in on his face

That man is so stupid in love it's not even funny. LOOK AT HIS FACE. Look how soft it is right now. I'm gonna go fight the sun. Who's with me?

Can I just say, once again, how amazing it is that there is a specific Grey Warden dwarf response to the fifth memory?

I know it only happens once, but it happened, and that is just so, so cool

Well, then

I've done more than my fair share of thinking about Emmrich and I've decided that the man falls in love a half a dozen times a day. With people, with spirits, with ideas, with books, with overall life

For Emmrich, falling in love is easy

Staying in love? That's a completely different story. He falls out of love just as easily as he falls in love. To be honest, he's never truly stayed in love for more than a couple of months

You can actually see in these screenshots the moment he falls in love with Rook. (Look at that side eye towards Rook when he's walking towards Bellara) A Grey Warden? To see him? What adventure! What a bit of color thrown into the monotony that has become his life!

Emmrich would never presume to do anything about falling in love with Rook, of course. It was meant to be his own private little joy while he waits for the bloom to fade and something else to catch his attention

But then every time she flirts or does something inspirational, he unexpectedly finds himself falling in love all over again. And then when it's clear that she's falling, too?

Well, it absolutely terrifies him. But that's a story for a different day

The fact that there is Grey Warden specific romance fight banter during a side quest absolutely astounds me (in a good way!)

This is during the side quest 'Something's Coming' when you first go see the Blight eruption
