So this week in our multi-player adventures, @probablylostrightnow, @servantofclio and I started Astarion's quest

Well, we started it last week but got out behinds kicked by Cazador, probably because Astarion was still in his starting armor and only with one basic dagger. Oops

This week, though? We prepared. Since Clio's Lavendar is also a rogue, we respecced Astarion as a fighter

And decided to give him some new threads. The result was pretty hilarious :D

We didn't have enough time to do the actual Cazador fight tonight, so that will be next week. When I will take more screenshots!

I really need to go to bed but all I can think of is that there is the slightest of possibilities that Guild Wars 3 might be announced on Friday and that is now all I can think about

I don't know anything about this game, so I'm really curious to see what happens!

So as much as I want to play this game (and I really, really do), it's not gonna work for me

I am horrible with directions and spatial awareness so without a map or a mini-map or something I kept getting lost and freezing to death

I am curious enough about the game that I might watch a lets play of the episodes. Have it on in the background as I cross stitch. Then I can follow the story, which had me curious!

Ah yes. It's that time of the year where I'm convinced that the first of the month starting on a Monday actually means something and that surely I will fix everything in my life and be productive now right? Right.

I have finished Avowed!

After the first couple of levels, I was like 'this is okay, I guess.' But by the end, I really, really, really liked the game. I love the companions. I like the world. I thought the storyline was interesting

So I immediately made three more Envoys lol

Penilyn is the one with the antlers. She's the one who finished the game. (I'll have a post later with ending spoilers). I used mainly ranger skills for her, because dwarven rogue tends to be my default playthrough

Then we've got Vristi, who is a human magic-user. Treasa, a warrior (who will be evil and who I will be rerolling to be a dwarf). And Elsrath, a dwarven mage.

I actually decided I like the game enough that I want to see about going after 100% achievements. But not right away. I want to play a different short game first before I do that. (And then the next DLC for RT will be out and that will require a great deal of my attention)

Last night Mom saw me playing Avowed and she decided that's the game she wanted to play next lol

And what Mom wants goes, so please meet Colleen!

A Noble Scion Aumaua. Now, the noble part, I expected. The Aumaua part? Absolute surprise. I expected her to jump on elf, but she's absolutely thrilled with Colleen

She's not thrilled with a silent protagonist, but as long as there's lot of other voiced dialogue, she's happy

This does mean I need to step up and work on my own playthrough so I don't have to rely on guides or anything when she and I play

This should be interesting!

Mom and I have finished Veilguard! (for the third time lol)

She really liked the Lucanis romance, which made me happy. She did choose a different ending then I expected. Her first two Rooks, she went the redemption route with Solas. But this time? Bait and switch, all the way (an ending I've actually never chosen before, so that was new for me!)

She's already decided on her fourth Rook, for whenever we play next, probably about six months from now. She's gonna roll a Grey Warden male dwarf with a fantastic beard who will romance Harding

As for our next game, I'm not sure! For her birthday last month, my sister and I set her up with a steam account and got her a bunch of small puzzle games like Unpacking and Is This Seat Taken, so I'm going to show her how to play those

Then I showed her the trailer for The Outer Worlds 2 and she actually really liked it, so I might see if she can handle 1st-person POV and then we can play The Outer Worlds 1 first. But who knows? I will report back once she has a new OC!

I came up with a whole backstory for this AU, but I’ll just leave you with this blurb:

After the media circus around the Cerberus trials dies down and the rogue Section 31 cell has been thoroughly dealt with, no one expects to see key witness Shepard, ex-special forces commander, ever again. Not after she publicly disavowed Starfleet, and not with half the quadrant still questioning her involvement. They especially don’t expect to see her captaining her own starship. And to hire a turian first officer only months after the Hierarchy’s sudden and inexplicable move to join the Federation? It’s like she’s begging for negative attention. Thankfully the Suki romance has some family pre and post-wedding comments! That's one of my favorite things.

Let's start with the pre-wedding comments!

(Did I end up marrying Suki twice on two different days to make sure I could get Antonio's comments? Yes. Yes, I did.)

ngl, was a bit disappointed by Antonio. I was hoping as Suki's first spouse, he might have some tips. Then again, I'm at that heart event when he wants to get back together with her. Oops. But Valentina was absolutely adorable

Then here is the wedding gift. I thought it was sweet that Antonio's Mom sent over a gift. And now we know that Antonio and Rafael and Pablo are cousins from the dad's side. And that also means that Suki was probably Suki Sanchez for a while

The the post-wedding conversations. Valentina is priceless. Then Antonio didn't have a unique line, so I'm not posting it. (I don't have Alice's line and at this point I'm not about to marry Suki for a fourth time to get it lol)

Decided I didn't want to go back to CP after all and decided it was time to give Avowed a try! Especially since I'm thinking about making this the next game I play with my mom. Figured it might help if I understood the game lol

So meet Elsrath! She's a god-touched dwarf who is a vanguard scout. It's been ten years since I've played Pillars of Eternity, so I don't remember a lot about the world, so we will see how it goes!

It's finally time. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting. All for the perfect moment to finally play Bertha the Bard in BG3. Started a MP game with @dawntreaderflynne and decided it was time

Kestral is Bertha's granddaughter and the two of them got captured. Now they will have to work together in order to survive. Kestral has no idea about Bertha's rock star past and is already wondering why her grandma is so good at picking locks

This is gonna be so much fun! :D

Now it's Suki's turn for the Coral Island romance deep dive!

I cannot believe how much the hangout system has added to the fleshing out of the romanceable Coral Island residents. The last time I had played, there were no hangouts, and I didn't really like Suki at all, tbh

But with the hangouts, and then the romance? I LOVE her. She is a solid A romance for me, teetering on an S-tier romance

I love how open she is about being nervous dating again, and wanting to make sure that her daughter is happy and protected. And then once she and the farmer get married, she's all in

SHE LOVES SPREADSHEETS OKAY

The heart events are pretty good too. I like how they had to worry about getting a baby sitter, even. Then having Valentina on the farm was a lot of fun

I will definitely be creating a new farmer for Suki once the 'Kids Grow Up' update happens (whenever that is. I hope this year?). Cause I would really love to see what they do with Valentina having younger siblings and how all of that works out

So I finished Winter Burrow! I even decided to 100% the achievements, because that is how much I enjoyed the game. Freaking delightful. Whole thing took maybe 12 hours?

I definitely want to play this again some day. I played story-mode and there's a challenge-mode, that is more difficult. Stronger enemies, harder to keep warm outside, etc. And I think that could be fun. The story mode was just a little too easy, you know?

But I have lots of other games to play before that happens. Now I'm gonna go back to Cyberpunk and see how that goes!
