A few months ago I made a witch bottle and after a few days the gin inside had gone from clear to deep red. After a few months it's not only completely black but the level of the liquid has gone down. The bottle has a stoppered, screw on top that I then sealed in wax. I have no clue what to make of this. It feels malevolent as hell when I touch it. Originally I went with the hiding method, should I switch to bury it?
I’m glad to hear you ruled out mundane possibilities first, that’s always important! It sounds like it did it’s job!
I personally would bury it (I highly recommend doing it in a pot/some sort of vessel so you can find it and aren’t littering; I like to dig a hole in the ground, put the vessel in, then add dirt and bury whatever I’m burying and mark it in some way so only I know where it is).
I’d then add some extra level of protection, reinforcing the bottle or upping your wards—something’s obviously up!

I live how Ana’s family carry her same square motif but are each individual and very distinct from Ana. I also am living for her Gran’s square wrinkles on her square jaw. She’s like an upside down ziggurat and I am here for it.
god youre right she does have a ziggurat face
I'm working on a novel and one of the main characters is a Jew who is deaf. My own FOR is that I was raised reform but I'm not really practicing since I only had religious schooling up until I was 12. I am also disabled, but I'm not deaf. This leaves me a lot of research to do to close the gap. I'm looking for resources or ideally people I can interview on what it's like being more religiously practicing while having a disability. Can you point me in the right direction?
Eddiescouch has specified an FOR of “observant Jews with disabilities.” Eddiescouch hasn’t specified a branch/community, so if you consider yourself observant or know of relevant resources, go to town :)
I'm so scared. I just read in the news that a synagogue was attacked by a Nazi group, again. There were so many bombings and bomb threats for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur last year and I'm really afraid people will die this year. I finally got my landlord's permission to put up a mezuzah but now I don't know if it's safe considering swastickas were painted all around the park next to my house.
It hurts my heart that you and your community must suffer through fear. I share your empathy, you and I both belong to communities who are extremely reviled around the world and it pains me to hear that my followers are expressing their fear to me like this, because… I know how it feels. Never lose your identity, my friend, be proud of your 5000-year-old heritage – whether you choose to arm yourself or not, never let these lowlifes erase you for who you are!
As someone who belongs to the Shia community, a community who have faced extreme persecution for 1400 years at the hands of tyranny, I share my condolences for the pain and suffering you and your community have faced and have to face, but you know what? Even if my community went through despair, I still wear the Sword amulet around my neck to express my adamancy of what I chose to be; I’m telling people to know me for what I am, a Shia! Never lose your pride in what you are, you are a community of pride and bravery! At the end of the day, you and I can only go so far with our words, but our pride is our strength – it is in our blood! I will always extend my hand of solidarity to you and the Jewish community!
Hey! Happy birthday! I hope you get to have some fun today.
Thank you!! I went on a great run this morning and I’ve been spending the day hanging out with family so it’s been nice so far!
Happy Birthday!!!
Thank you! 😄
Hey I wanted to say thank you for including agender in your pride art. I rarely ever see it, and when I do see green it's usually for aro so it's nice to feel like I can have a slice of the pie too.
Aw it’s no problem at all! I always try and put pride flags in there that I see around a lot but I also like putting some in that might not often get used in art posts. And It makes me glad to hear that it’s appreciated!
