How'd you end up working in a graveyard, Eddows? :0

"Oh, it's actually not a great story!"

"I got fired from another job and I was! Kind of! Crying a lot about it! And I just walked right into the graveyard and I was!"

"I was! I----"

"I was so MAD I kicked one of the headstones right down! And I yelled at it to stop being so arrogant for being dead and not having to work!"

"And I went home and I cried more and went to bed! But in the middle of the day, I got woken up by scratching at my window, and I was super scared and I looked out! But there was nothing there, and then I was going to go back to sleep and there was just this! Guy! Sitting on my bed!"

"And he told me that if I didn't go back and fix up that grave, that I'd! Be, you know! In a lot of trouble! And then he disappeared!"

"So I went RIGHT back the next night and I put it back upright, and I even bought some flowers I picked from someone's garden to decorate the grave!"

"And then this old guy comes out of the little hut, like kind of building? By the entrance, and he's like 'aw, you did a pretty good job, thanks for afixin' up that'- s-sorry, I can't do his accent, but he was like hey, how would you like to get paid to clean this place up?"

"So! Yeah! But please don't kick down graves to get a job!"

I can't remember if I made a proper post before about Eddows but here's a quick rundown.

She currently works in a graveyard, tending to the gravestones of people who had high magical ability in their life (making them more prone to becoming undead or causing other issues while dead).

Her main jobs are:

Keeping all of the headstones clean, making sure they're decorated with appropriate flowers and taking care of any gifts or offerings left.

Showing guests to their respective graves if they're looking for a loved one.

Most importantly, keeping the residents happy. She has some minor psionic ability that helps keep ghosts and undead calm, sort of like a state of hypnosis, which she uses to make sure no one leaves and everyone goes back to their respective resting places before opening hours.

She used to work retail before this job and is traumatised by it. She's worked in many different types of shops and all of them were terrible and she always ended up getting fired for frequent panic attacks. (She's doing better now and her boss is very understanding.)

She reads a lot of shifter and rainbow drinker teen romance fiction and used to write fanfiction around those topics too when she was younger.
