SO. It's been a while yes. i decided not to post here until i finish my eddtom lore/dynamic stuff. like, ALL of it. there it is. i hope it's comprehensible.
now that the lore thing is finished i can go back to drawing yaoislop. Oh yes.
I'm mostly a lurker in social media but, lately, I've been feeling more... proactive, per se. So, yeah. I should probably present myself...
I'm Neogoryth! Neo, if you like. I've been in a few fandoms over the years, but EW must be one of the oldest. I came in contact with it thanks to the original Pork Soda back in 2016. Loved that shit. From then on, I simply watched everything and fell in love with its dumb jokes. It's probably why my sense of humour is fucked nowadays.
But yeah. A few years back, 2023-ish or so, I started writing the original concept idea of this possible fanfic. Even published a few chapters and had some lovely commenters, but after some time I actually hated it and... deleted it. But I feel like after cuptoast's rendition of Pork Soda... the fandom has now entered an Age of Enlightment. Which means this is my opportunity to try again with my idea. However, with more experience and fresher ideas.
Which means two things.
I'd love, like, really love to find a possible beta reader?? I'm really dubious about my writing skills. I know I can write, I love doing it... but english isn't my native language. I'm fluent in it, got a high level. But writing is a different thing. So, yeah.
I just wanted to share a snippet of what I have and get some opinions before anything else. Y'know, get some opinions on it and just... see if anyone would be interested in reading it.

“You know, mate, if you rub that plug any harder, you’re going to polish right through the steel and turn the whole bloody thing into a pipe bomb.” A drawling voice cut through the background noise.
Tom lifted his brow, his hand falling still. Across the armoury, a blurry green-clad silhouette shifted. From what he could make out, Edd seemed to be leaning back, casually playing with something—a pencil? Tom had heard him scribbling for a while now. He didn’t need crystal-clear sight to know the smug bastard was smirking. He could practically hear it.
“I’m clearing the carbon, you git,” Tom muttered, tossing the blackened strip of flannel back onto the workbench. He then heard a snort, probably accompanied by a dumb roll of his eyes. “If the gas port pits, the whole rifle turns into a bolt-action club the next time a scouting patrol encounters one of those commies at the border.”
“Right… because three hours of aggressive polishing is standard British military maintenance,” Edd retorted, his tone dripping with that effortless, mocking sass that always managed to grate him whenever his head got thumping. Tom heard the distinct click-clack of Edd tapping his charcoal against the side of his wooden mapping board. “You’ve practically given that plug a mirror finish, Tommy. If a Red Army grunt gets close enough to look down your barrel, they’ll be too busy admiring their own reflection to shoot you.”
Tom ignored the jibe, reaching blindly for the guide rod and the heavy recoil spring. “The spring’s losing its tension anyway,” he lied smoothly, sliding the assembly back into the stamped-steel chassis with a rhythmic, practiced snick. He aligned the upper receiver, slamming it shut against the lower frame until the captive pins snapped home with a solid, metallic thud. “The dampness in these lower tunnels is turning the internal mechanisms to absolute rubbish. I’m just making sure it actually works.”
He then heard a low, non-committal hum. It was a flat, heavy sound that clearly screamed: I don’t believe a single bloody word coming out of your mouth.
No more rasping could be heard for a while and, out of the blue, “You’re turning to absolute rubbish,” Edd muttered, his tone flat. Tom didn’t look up, his thumb running over the rugged receiver line of the L85A1. “Brilliant retort, mate. Did you map that one out on your little grid charts, too?”
“YOU’RE mapped out on a chart,” Edd shot back immediately. From the shifting sound of the wood, he was leaning his elbows into his mapping board now. Tom could almost make out his blurry green silhouette, now all hunched forward. ‘‘And your attitude is bloody exhausting”.
“Yeah, well, this entire conversation is exhausting,’’ Tom muttered, blindly reaching for a bottle of cleaner, trying to sound completely nonchalant while the digital static behind his eyes continued to thrum.
“YOU’RE exhausting,” Edd snapped, the sarcasm in his voice growing sharp with every word Tom hurled at him. “And you’re a pain in the arse as well—uh, and you’re ugly.”
Right as Tom opened his mouth, a sharp, violent spike of white heat flashed directly behind his brow. He suppressed a full-body flinch, only fluttering his eyelids. Then, a second wave, just as harsh as the first one, came along. This time, he snapped his mouth closed so hard that his teeth clacked, and his jaw ached. The IDO woke up with a vengeful flicker.

this is specifically about my versions of the characters so they all are vaguely on different parts of the aro/ace spectrum. all of their relationships are unlabeled and vague and their feelings towards each other are even more so #just some BULLSHITTT. this whole thing is primarily about extrapolating from their dynamics and thinking about how they would exist and interact in this context lol
note that they just do not have very healthy relationships here

They are surprisingly a good fit in the sense Matt usually doesn't care to reciprocate and wants his partner(s) to just kinda one-sidedly pleasure him, and Tord is rather uncomfortable being touched and having things done to him (which could mean nothing) but is curious about how it's done with a real person. So that's lucky for them. Both don't mind whether it's Matt directing Tord on what to do or if Tord just does his thing as long as it's reasonable.
What doesn't work as much is Matt generally has aesthetic/"romantic" expectations about sex, he wants to feel desired and loved, if he can he does make it a whole ocassion. And Tord has negative charm. He's already rather reserved, so of course in such a vulnerable situation he's lost. His frame of reference being the copious amount of pornography he consumes, his perception is skewed. Thankfully, he is aware enough no one acts like that in real life. So he stares with his big fuckign eyes O_O and cringes internally. He wants it to be as emotionally uncomplicated as possible.
I could see Matt getting frustrated with this, he wants Tord to say something, Tord asks for clarification and just repeats verbatim Matt's example back at him. Hopefully Tord can get a little more comfortable over time though. And Matt could learn to work with that.

Eddmatt I imagine as one-sided on Matt's part. Similar to his usually black-and-white feelings towards Edd, he either fantasizes about (almost fatherly) perfect lover Edd (who Matt even feels like submitting to! scary!) who praises Matt and admits to his own wrongdoings, or he's imagining stepping on Edd's balls and slapping his face or something and pulling him around on a leash and finally feeling in charge.
Both fantasies are completely unrealistic, as he knows. He doesn't act on it.
Although I enjoy the idea that if Edd was having sex with someone else Matt could peek through the door like a weirdo and fume in jealousy. Does he wanna be him or be with him?
If somehow they did end up actually having sex together (i imagine it being more likely in a polyship scenario) it would of course be on Edd's terms.
Edd is not very into Matt and would find him a bit much but hey "not hungry but could eat" attitude. More of just a potentially enjoyable activity to him. And Matt is funny to mess with.
Matt would feel kind of emotionally wounded from this but you take what you can get. Edd is incredibly unsexy in things he does and says. I bet he jokes, makes weird comments or talks about unrelated things like nothing of note is being done. But he's incredibly sexy to these losers because of his confidence and lack of shame.
sidenote while im typing: Tord is more sexually insecure than Matt and Matt is more sexually insecure than Edd. I think Matt tolerates Tord's unsexiness much more because he doesn't feel threatened by him (endeared???), which he can't say about Edd.

Tom, despite his traumatic upbringing and complicated feelings about fitting in, generally feels safer around objects and gets quite bold with them. He has an open relationship with Susan and seeks out casual encounters pretty often. You could say he's being indulgent in response to how repressed he was during his time in the sect. With humans, while he tries not to show it, he feels he can't let loose as much. (which could mean nothing).
While in their usual interactions Tom can banter and brawl with Edd, in a sexual context he yields. Already feeling too vulnerable in this scenario, Tom doesn't really feel like he can put up defenses there. Moreover, having escaped a sect Tom found another leader figure in Edd and trusts him way too much for his own good.
Edd feels Tom is fun and easy to be around and they are generally on the same page. So why not? Unfortunately he thinks whatever he does with Tom is within the bounds of their usual shenanigans, not understanding this is a much more delicate territory.
Tom on one hand, gets what he wants and doesn't even need to ask for it. If Edd does something, Tom thinks "oh well I didn't choose to do this im maybe even a little against it so I'm totally fine and can enjoy this guilt-free. YAY!!!", on the other their arrangement is destructive for Tom because he ends up placing responsibility onto Edd and Edd is the guy who sets Tom's hair on fire for laughs. # wound that never heals x rusty knife he twists inside himself
Okay also Tom might be looking for partners who remind him of Edd (canon???????)

hypothetical polyship situation where Edd decides to include Matt in whatever they have with Tom for funsies. They fill somewhat different niches for him. He even thinks he's being generous here sharing his attention and stuff.
Tom feels a little hurt that Edd wants this to be a Matt thing too (doesn't trust him!), Matt is jealous of their already established "relationship" and that he's an afterthought (but is happy to be included). Perhaps... what neither of them expect is that this ends up helping them understand each other more. AND TURN ON EDD AND BEAT HIS ASS-
I don't enjoy them as a ship but I feel Edd would like a scenario where he plays on the tension between them and makes Tom and Matt make out or something while he watches. *from the director's chair* IM NOT SEEING THE PASSION!!!!!!
