There was a stage play which pre-dated Lazytown (glanni glæpur í latabæ) - Íþróttaálfurinn and Glanni Glæpur were basically just Sportacus and Robbie respectively in that. The fandom treats them as different characters though, primarily because they are very different in personality to their Lazytown versions.
