The musical clinking of glassware, the harmonic buzz of multiple conversations happening all at once, the sharp odour of stale alcohol just barely penetrating the smell of freshly fried foods, all coupled with the sight of people who were each varying levels of intoxicated. It seemed like no matter where in the world you were, pubs were always the same. But among the noise, there were always individuals who stood out from the rest.
One silver-haired woman sitting alone looked very out of her element here. Despite her height and her stunning looks, even at a distance her presence seemed commanding. Ada felt a hint of sympathy for her, but mostly the young woman looked like someone important and the assassin would be a fool not to chat her up. Having made up her mind, she scooped up her wine glass and walked over.
"Is this seat taken?" With a soft smile, Ada gestured to the seat across from the woman, but she didn't wait for an answer before sitting down anyway. "I couldn't help noticing you look a little lost. I take it this isn't a usual night out for you."
