hate it when you try to kill someone and they dont die like how rude do you have to be
@chanteuser
She was on her way to get some coffee in her simple disguise of a trench coat, a scarf, and sunglasses ---a disguise that made her feel practically invisible, as silly as it would be to mention out loud--- when she saw a man boldly attempt to hold a woman at knife point. Before Ada could finish her thought about how terrible men could be, he was already thrown flat onto the pavement.
Clearly, the woman he tried to trifle with wasn't just a pretty face. Clearly very charmed by the way she handled the man, the spy walked up to voice her admiration.
"Wow, you handled that fast. I'm impressed." Ada spoke with all the sincerity she could muster. The man attempted to get back to his feet, but a kick to his head quickly put a stop to that. “Do you deal with this sort of thing often?”
harliquinn:
Oh, she liked to play rough? Good, that was just how she liked it.
It took a split second for Harley to realise where the other woman had disappeared to. However, that second’s hesitation was a second too long and before she knew it, her legs were kicked out from under her and she fell to the floor with a thud. Still, though it had been a mistake on her part, she wasn’t frustrated with herself– she was having way too much fun with her new friend and part of her wanted let her get her own way just to see what she’d do to her later.
“I changed my mind! Baby, take me back I promise I’ll change!” She rolled onto her side and picked herself up quickly, the manic grin still plastered upon her face. She took a small step back though she made no move to run or attack again. She wanted to see what the other would do next.
Once again, the other woman slipped through Ada's fingers. There were a precious few people who were a match for the trained assassin, and most of them weren't entirely human. Deciding to hold off her next assault for a moment, she eyed the blonde with curiosity.
"You're good. Most people would be dead by now, not to brag." She was totally bragging---just a little bit. "It does make one wonder how you were trained. Care to indulge my curiosity?"
Jewel-encrusted necklaces came and went, but this was something much more worthy of Ada's attention. Nothing about the way the woman dressed would have made her guess that she was anything more than some member of an outlandish street gang, but now her mind quickly went through all of the possibilities: mercenary, spy, CIA, a fellow assassin. Or perhaps something else entirely.
"It would be a shame to not at least get your name."
dawncrests:
It was difficult to find her focus amidst the chaos and the noise — Edelgard hadn’t been here for long, but she’d already assessed that it was perhaps too overwhelming for her in ways. Or perhaps it was only because she was unused to it? No matter how long she had lived here, it was still difficult to discern whether the details of her environment or the overall culture shock caused discomfort.
Alone at the bar, she’d simply been interested in trying a variety of drinks. It wasn’t that she hadn’t ever consumed alcohol — she’d certainly determined a baseline for her tolerance by now — but the numerous options far exceeded anything she’d been familiar with in her own realm. The fruitiest concoctions, sugar around the rim, bright in color… Those were here favorites thus far.
When someone approached her as she took another sip, she didn’t hesitate upon telling them to go ahead and take the seat.
“Not lost, no,” she responded, unsure of the stranger’s intentions. “It’s certainly not a usual night for me, though I hope to change that. I assume you’re more familiar with such a scene?”
Ada thoughtfully sipped from her glass of red wine while she listened to the woman reply, even her voice made her sound like someone important. And yet there was none of the egotism; a big improvement from the company she usually kept.
"You could say that. I once worked as a cocktail waitress ---you know, just to get myself through college." The woman replied casually. That was, of course, a lie; while everyone else her age was in some lecture hall, she was subjected to torture resistance training. "Oh, sorry, I almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Ada Wong."
It felt almost nice to chat with someone with no real ulterior motive in mind. There was never any room for friendship of any kind in her life, maybe she had time for the things she missed out on now. Or maybe she just had a bit too much wine.
"So what is it that you normally do on nights like this? If you don't mind me asking, that is."
sanpatron:
She certainly sounds confident enough in what she’s telling him. Then again practically anyone could if they tried hard enough. It’s times like this where the Boss wished he had some sort of means to read people better than solely relying on whatever gut instinct he may have. Would definitely save him a lot of trouble.
“ That much trouble, huh? Well would you mind if I asked just what exactly ya had t’ do? ” He’s not exactly sure how far he could push for information. For all he knew this woman might be legit and be just as suspicious as he is. If that’s the case then it’d make for a real hilarious impasse.
“ Money is nice and all, but there’s a helluva lot more worth in what someone’s abilities might be; especially if you got some kinda idea on just what they could do. ” She might not let it out just yet, but whatever vague answer the woman brings up it could definitely lead him into making some sort of assumption.
It would seem that her gamble was paying off, but it was still too early to tell for certain if this negotiation would end well. He was certainly asking the right questions. Before she answered the man, Ada eyed one of the buildings nearby; too many windows, too many places for prying eyes.
She looked back to her potential business partner and chose her words carefully. “Your organisation is impressive, judging from what I’ve seen and heard. And yet it’s missing something, isn’t it?” The woman let him puzzle at what she could possibly mean while she fished a flash drive out of her bra.
“Information.” Ada continued, sliding the little storage device into his hand. “Consider that just a taste. As for the details...well, I think that discussion should take place somewhere a bit more discreet.”
rcsputinaa:
illyana hummed softly to herself, head tilted to the side as she inspected the other woman.
“are you going for beautiful yet capable of murder?” that was the look magik usually went for. “if so, it is very appropriate. a necklace, perhaps a bracelet, and very sharp heels.”
“As if I would settle for anything less!” Ada chuckled in amusement. “A mixture of alluring and dangerous attracts desperate men like flies.”
The raven-haired woman seemed quite pleased with the blonde’s answer, and so she carefully draped the dress over her arm with the express intention of purchasing it later. “I must say, you have very good taste. Have you been to any fancy parties?”
Are you heterosexual
what in the hell would make you think that, no. God no. Absolutely not.

Standing in the middle of the street, she simply dragged her hands down her face. Being dragged back into this hell hole wasn’t exactly what she would call a good time. It would be placed right below ‘eaten by bears’ on worst things that could happen to her. Sure, a lot of research opportunities presented themselves in this dump—but with what equipment was she supposed to research them with? It was true hell.
Letting out a deep sigh, she grabbed the shoulder of the closest stranger she could, not even bothering to remove her other hand from her face as she spoke.
“Would you happen to know if this godforsaken city has acquired a research lab? Even the shoddiest one possible would do—just something that is set up for research.”
Ada was in the middle of a phone call when she felt a hand touch her shoulder, causing her to quickly pull away and glare at whoever dared to touch her.
"Yeah, I'm gonna have to call you back." She told the person on the other line before hanging up on them, now turning her full attention to the stranger.
However, now that she got a better look at them, she realised this was perhaps the most handsome woman she had ever laid her eyes on ---she couldn't quite bring herself to be angry anymore. "Research lab..." A scientist, huh? Ada had dealt with her fair share of scientists before, but never in any helpful capacity. Well, there was a first time for everything. "It just so happens that I may know of a few places, but now I'm curious; what sort of research do you wish to conduct?"
There was no shortage of scientists in this city, and fortunately none of them were working on any biological weapons. It would be a shame if that were to change ---without Wesker here, however, she was free to sabotage such research if she felt it was too dangerous.
“I only like women and kind, gullible men.”

“ That really is not natural.”
the boombird that seemed to have stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, blocking the path. for some reason, it refused to move, opting to instead stay eerily still– enough so that Shaundi is worried it’s going to attack or something. instead, it starts bobbing its head up and down in a slow rhythm. after a few moments of silence, a song starts to filter out of its head, one she does not recognize. regardless, it has the woman feeling both creeped out and confused. had she not been in public, she would have taken out the gun hidden on her and shot the damn thing.
instead, her gaze moves to the other stopped beside her as a hand lifts to point a finger at the dancing bird. “ You’re seeing this too, right?”
@lipstickandsabotage – s.c.
There weren't a great many things that made Ada Wong feel uneasy, but the strange creature in front of her was certainly one of them. It reminded her of the abominations created by Umbrella's viruses, but much less grotesque. She was so distracted by it, she almost didn't notice the other woman standing near her.
"I see it alright." Ada replied replied calmly before walking up to the creature.
While the creature looked harmless enough, there was no telling if or when that might change. And the spy wasn't about to take any chances. Without a word of warning, she kicked the boombird and sent it flying onto a nearby rooftop. The woman grimaced for a moment in pain ---she didn't expect the thing to be so solid.
"You really can't be too careful."
harimenuis:
“I was literally cut out for the real world~! I’m like Pinocchio~! ‘I’m a real girl, I’m a real girl~!’ Ehehehehe~! Did my maman do a good job~?”
“Uh. Sorry, can’t stay and chat. I’m sure all of that was very interesting.”
“You know what I think? I think many of you aren’t cut out for the real world.”
