In Paradise -- rated E, ~4100 words
A newly minted demon takes on his maiden assignment – so to speak – only to find that his first temptation leads to awkward thoughts when he encounters an angel shortly thereafter.
Or, looky, you can put art (In Paradise, by Max Svabinsky; uncensored image here) in my head and smut comes out.
Not any more inclined than most of us to write either of the boys with anyone else, even as a passing hookup, but after seeing that I had no choice. Before we’re done Love will hit like a thunderbolt (or at about the same time anyway), I promise.
“What are you doing here?” said the woman.
Improvise. “Customer satisfaction survey. I’m meant to find out if there’s anything we can do for you? Anything missing?”
“I don’t understand?”
“Well – warm enough? Comfortable accommodations?”
“Adam made a bed with rushes –”
“Amenities?”
“Bless you,” she said, which stung a little. He suppressed the wince.
“I mean, anything you want that you’re not getting?”
That was when she hesitated, just a little, and looked at him just a little too long and too thoroughly, and he remembered that they’d been doing the bumping thing a short while ago, and after a bit he’d heard a particularly loud Sleep Noise from Adam.
Maybe here was something he could work with.

“It was a nice day. All the days had been nice. There had been rather more than seven of them so far, and rain hadn't been invented yet. But clouds massing east of Eden suggested that the first thunderstorm was on its way, and it was going to be a big one.” (Good Omens. Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman)
From the DVD commentary, episode 1:
Douglas: I remember though, this was - happily in the scheduling terms - it was one of the last scenes that we shot with David and Michael. Which is the right time to shoot such a scene, an opening scene, because they'd know their characters inside out.
Neil: Yes, they knew who they were and they played all of the subtext and they’re glorious. Of course, poor David is up there in a desert with the wind blowing with giant contact lenses on.
Douglas: And with sand wanting to get into every pore of his eye.
Neil: And he said, 'That was the hardest day of all shooting'.
