“Allow me to be the first of the fae to officially welcome you to Avalon.”
Vivian arrived with an entourage of soldiers with a couple Servants trailing behind her as well. She was dressed in full military regalia, with cords and aiguillettes hanging from her shoulder. Strapped on a belt around her waist was a sword sheathed. The queen made no move to grab for the sword, even as she moved closer.
“I apologize for how some of my soldiers acted,” She began, a gloved hand over her heart as she dipped into a bow. “You see, there is a group of rebels with whom my armies have been quarreling for some time. I suppose my squadrons were simply mixed up. Again, we apologize.”
She straightened up, hair swaying in the breeze. Night was beginning to take hold of Avalon, the beautiful sunset fading off the shores. “I have a proposal for you: join me against these rebels, and you will be handsomely rewarded.”
