Thanks for the ask! I’ll try this with John even though I could talk about Kennedy for years. She’s much more developed in my head than the rest of them….yikes…
1. He’s constantly worrying about Kennedy. From wondering if she’s okay, to wondering if he’s good enough for her, she’s almost always on his mind.
2. Speaking of which, he has quite low self-esteem. He tries to act as if he doesn’t care what others think but in reality that’s just not true. He questions himself a lot, and had quite a hard time viewing himself in a positive light. He’s mainly overcome that now but there’s always that nagging voice in the back of his head telling him he’s not good enough.
3. He was very close with his dad until more recent years. The Fitzgerald have always been a close family but when John turned 15 his dad began to talk about joining the military, in fact he never talked about anything else. Suddenly his interest in John’s school day, friends and artwork disappeared and all he cared about was John enlisting once he was of legal age. That obviously pissed John off, causing arguments and now their relationship is near shambles. They’re a mess ngl.
4. He’s a total softie if you couldn’t tell and absolutely loves rom-coms and chick flicks! His favourite movies are Collateral Beauty (he cried) & the Titanic. He tries to get Ken to sit down and watch them with him but she won’t. She only agrees to watch the Titanic with him because it’s historical and she spends the entire time making fun of Jack & Rose’s relationship which previously annoyed him but now he’s used to it.
5. Despite the fact he’s a student athlete, he really hates gym class.
