So without going to in depth about the plot or revealing any spoilers here are my honest opinions and impressions on "Summer (un)lovin'". The story is about Lukas' birthday camping trip. What was suppose to be just a peaceful and fun time with his sassy boyfriend Eden and group of friends, turned out to be a drama filled, drunk secret spilled, rollercoaster ride. And shockingly little of it was caused directly by mean girl Sophie, who turned out to be on her best behavior and was more victim of a huge misunderstanding then mean girl this time around and that was nice to see a different side of her. Honestly it was Tám this time around who I wanted to throttle! Now, as someone who adores Eden (I'm amassing quite the collection) I knew I had to get this story. Eden is the master of sharp comebacks and sassy one liners. He knows who he is and he doesnt let anyone or anything stand in his way. Alternately, Lukas is sweet and laid back. People are going to be who they want and he doesnt let it bother him, mostly. These two make an adorable pair and I loved reading about this little birthday gone sorta wrong with them. It had fluff, it had sass (yes I'm going to keep using that word for lack of a more appropriate one), and it had drama. All things I enjoy. From tender to "smack-your-head" and go why?! Moments this book really has a little bit of everything. You get to know each of these wonderful characters a little more. It was in the small details that the value of this little story really came to life. Also there are some really great girl power moments in this story that I was loving! Also big shoutout to @annedrawstuff and @beasarcevic who made this story possible. Bea is the author of these stories and she does an amazing job at portraying the emotions behind each character. Really making them come to life on the page. So at this point I dont think it’s any secret that I love @annabluemusik and the stories her songs tell. Well in a few of those songs a very special fluffy unicorn named Eden was shown and introduced. And I immediately was captivated. There is something about Eden that just draws me to him. Maybe it’s his, “I don’t give 2 flying marshmallows about what the world thinks of me” or maybe it’s super unique style. Actually its most definitely both! Because combining those 2 things (and soooooo much more) are what make Eden, Eden. I have tried to get every piece of merch with him (might have missed out on the shmoopies candle and think I’m missing a notebook) but for the most part I’ve got a nice little collection. My review of the short story Summer (un)lovin’ is coming in the next post. Gotta finish reading it. Between work and adult exhaustion I haven’t had the time to sit down and just finish it. But that’s coming tonight. And I gotta say, it’s a drama fueled fluffy ride that I absolutely adored! But long rant about how amazing Eden is, let me wrap up by saying thank you to anna and her friends for giving us a small sneak peek into their lives and introducing us to some amazing people and stories!
