Summary
HEYYY! Kay here! 22 with she/her or they/them pronouns and a timezone of PDT. I work full time hours as an animator so my availability will be mostly evenings and weekends. I used to be Gale Weathers here and an OC Blaire Malone but now I wanted to try a out a new OC.
What character you would like and why
I would like to portray Edgar Cook, an oc that I created specially for the group. I think Edgar will have an all new character stereotype that the films or tv shows have not expanded on yet. Edgar offers diversity as well to the rest of the cast, as a brand new POC character.
Summary and details of your character
I used Mona’s app as inspiration, it’s been a while since I’ve had to apply to a group! :)
Edgar Cook (John Boyega faceclaim) has that happy go lucky nature about him. He has a great sense of humour and loves to laugh and make jokes. He’s not very fluent in sarcasm, but he’s good at dismantling insults and brushing them off. He’s basically about as happy as a labrador dog about to go on a walk with his owner. He’s a sweetheart, good natured, and a down to earth guy who wants to make the best out of his life. He grew up with disciplined parents who taught him to be polite and well behaved. He comes across as a pushover, but he’ll never let you walk all over him. He knows how to stand up for himself through genuine positivity. He has a bit of a temper when somebody crosses the line, and can get a little aggressive when someone personally attacks himself or anyone he really cares about. He does his best to beat evil with good.
Edgar was teased and bullied throughout most of grade school and middle school. He was short, clumsy, and pretty gullible when he was younger, so he was often the target of bullies back then so he became a loner pretty fast. He turned to the arcade after school. He used all of his allowance from chores on games like Pacman, Space Invaders, Defender, Star Wars, Gauntlet, and Tron and has since upgraded to games nowadays like Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and 4, Destiny, and Dishonour but still loves the classic arcade games.
He loves The Thing, Space Odyssey and Alien but shows a dislike to the rest of the horror genre. He likes sci fi and monster and creature movies though, but other than that he can not stomach blood and guts, or anything paranormal or demonic, that stuff freaks him out.
He’s a huge astronomy and space nerd, but actually he follows astrology religiously and his star sign is an aquarius. He likes to ask others what they are and then read them their horoscopes. He used to do the weekly horoscope for the school newspaper back in high school.
He wears big dorky glasses, and usually dresses in vintage arcade game tee shirts and button up sweaters. He does well for himself as a student and was on the honour roll. His mother works as the librarian at Woodsboro’s high school, while his father works as one of the mayor’s councillors for Woodsboro. He started to get a crush on Kirby Reed while they were chem partners during their last year of high school, but was too shy to ask her out and assumed she was dating Charlie Walker. He was never really accepted into their group in high school, but for the most part he thought he and Kirby really hit things off as lab partners when they dissected a frog together.

Edgar loves punk bands like Misfits, Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Clash, and the Slits.
