On the Trail of Poldark Filming, In Wells at the Bishops Palace.
Not only did I get to find the exact locations where Ross and Drake ambushed the French Guards by jumping off the balcony at “La Quimper” and where Aidan posed inside the Egdar Phillips White Wings Glass installation sculpture ... but I got to talk to the Bishops Wife at the Palace just before they opened to the public for the first time at Christmas. A very special place, worth visiting out of season to soak up the atmosphere and beautiful colours of the place. There is an opportunity to have a warming drink (not on those cold chairs in the courtyard) ....but it is beautiful and full of nooks and crannies to explore....a memorable day out in Wells December 2017
