The elegance coral (Catalaphyllia jardinei) is one of the EDGE Coral Reef species found in the country.
Like the mushroom coral, it is also a home itself to several marine biodiversity such as flatworms, shrimps, and more.
We call on the National Red Listing Committee on Aquatic Animals of the DA-BFAR on 27-28 February to update the status of 29 of the 50 Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered Coral Reef species.
