A Rafflesia in the mountains of Panay.
In Luzon we have the Sierra Madre, but in Panay, there is the Central Panay Mountain Range. It is home not only to Rafflesia, but also the Critically Endangered Dulungan Hornbill.
The Central Panay Mountain Range is a Key Biodiversity Area, or KBA. This means that they fit a specific set of criteria regarding the unique species that live there, threats, and the overall ecology and environment there.
What other species can be found in Panay?
