I was taking the dog for a walk ā¦ honest! Then I got slightly off track and found all these within a 5 metre area. She is old and I think just enjoys getting out of the house with me for a sniff as much as the walking/distance part. Anyway, I started sniffing about for fungi.

The Bluebottle or Pacific Man-of-War is not a single animal but a colony of four kinds of highly modified individuals (zooids). The zooids are dependent on one another for survival. Itās not a true jellyfish. Well, I never ā¦ I just read this and more interesting facts about them here!

Had a little holiday up the East Coast of Tasmania, we spotted plenty of these beautiful green beetles on a walk in a limited area. Not easy to photograph with the 60mm Macro as they were moving around but got these two keepers. Click on an image to zoom in š

Frogs among the ferns ...
Frogs among the fernsĀ ā¦
Frogs are a sign of a healthy environment. I found these two by accident sitting among some ferns in the garden and was lucky that they stayed still long enough for me to grab my camera to photograph with the 60mm macro. The first shot is focus stacked in camera.
I used a monopod to try to reduce camera movement but the second image the stack did not work, luckily the first image from the 10ā¦
