"In the pouring rain?" Mia raised a brow at this reply. "Did you walk over here in this weather?" Before she could continue to interrogate him, she remembered her manners. "Would you like tea? I just brewed a pot of Earl Grey."

Mia had been reading a book when a knock sounded at her apartment door. She opened the door and her eyes widened as she took in Miles' uncharacteristically disheveled appearance. She immediately stepped aside to let him in. "Mr. Edgeworth? What are you doing here? This isn't just a social call, is it?"

Mr Grossberg, was it? I have heard of you. You were quite the defense lawyer back in your prime. Still, not good enough to best my Papa, am I correct?

"...Wright. Even Grossberg is using this 'joke' on you... Surely you haven't fallen that far?" Edgeworth smirked slightly at his response, shrugging as he made his own.

[ Phoenix crossed his arms, ready to object at any second should he see a reason to. ] The joke’s not on me, you know. They are not laughing at me but with me, so I don’t see a reason for me to have fallen.

It’s one big, big joke, Edgeworth..And no, thanks. I’m not interested in lemon tea or tea at all. I appreciate the thought, though.
