Film Narrative 2 - Reshoots
While trying to edit together a first draft of our shift film, our editor Jack and producer Joe noticed that the shots we filmed in the office setting were pretty much all unusable and that we definitely had to do reshoots. In order to effectively manage our time, and give us sufficient time to edit we promptly contacted the actress and reshot all the scenes we needed to. During the setting up for the reshoot we made sure to fix the things we felt were lacking in the original footage. We decided to light the scene differently and we needed to get more coverage from different angles and different framing. Once the scene was lit differently it made a drastic change to the tone which we needed. We also changed the way we filmed our handheld shot which we think helped the flow between scenes. As we all went in very determined and focused, with an exact strategy to fix our problems, we were able to use that to our advantage and efficiently carry out our reshoots and feel accomplished with our final footage.
