Make sure:
-working with provided template
-got enough space for design
-bearing in mind bleed areas*
-THINK ABOUT BACK COVER AND SPINE
-back cover needs space for a blur box - NEEDS TO STAND OUT CLEARLY FROM REST OF PAGE
-think about how blur box will look as well - can play with the opacity? how will it line up on the page? can it line up with the barcode?**
-can the book content come into the cover design?
-direct towards target audience e.g. bright colours for kids
-think about texture and how you’ll create it
-type should reflect design
* bleed areas vary between 5-10mm
**it needs to line up/DEFINITELY needs not to clash with barcode (even if this looks stuck on)
