Our newlyweds Edith and Robert moved into a cute 3 bedroom house in Brindleton Bay!

First night in the new house went as you’d expect,,, these two are joined at the hip.

It didn’t take much time for Edith to be waking up to unending nausea and fatigue. 

And it didn’t take long to realize Edie was undeniably pregnant. Edith and Robert couldn’t be more thrilled !! 

Edith didn’t plan on announcing her pregnancy to her mother as soon and she opened the front door,,, but she just couldn’t wait.

Eleanor didn’t mind though. I think she’s excited for her first grandchild !!

Dorothy didn’t think she’d be so excited about becoming an aunt, but seeing Edith’s bump made it all real. She has already planned on spoiling her niece or nephew.

Robert recently started a job at the local school, a dream since he was a young teenager though less glamorous than he’d imagine. At least he made some money for a gramophone,,, the gramophone is worth it.

Here’s a short one to finish off the 1890′s. 

Eleanor and George were still as close and adorable as ever, even after five kids and almost ten years of marriage the two still adored each other.

Loretta is 18 months old now, best friends with her brother Edwin. They’re two peas in a pod.

Edwin is still such a sweetheart, always asking for hugs, and babbling to anyone who will listen. Eleanor is trying to soak up the love before he grows up into a moody young man.

And speaking of moody young men, Joey has started a feud with the giant teddy in his sisters room. Eleanor says as long as he’s not hitting a person its alright.

Edith and Dorothy have started learning to knit. Edith was much more enthusiastic about it than Dorothy, the latter only learning cause she was home sick from school and wanted to spend time with her mother.

And thats a wrap on the 1890′s! A lovely start to this legacy and family. Now onto the turn of the century!

Edith and Dorothy have been spending a lot of time together recently. With the winter snow gone they’ve been spending lots of time down at the beach, building sandcastles and little sand villages. 

And speaking of the beach, George has been having a great time fishing, even teaching Dorothy how to do it. Edith wasn’t as into fishing as her sister, opting for staying home when George and Dorothy would go.

With age Edith has grown very close to her mother, helping out with her younger siblings, helping cut vegetables for dinner, and cleaning up where she could. 

Her brothers love her.. as you can tell.

Edwin is a bit of a loner, if his parents can’t find him he’s probably in their bedroom talking to little Loretta. She always laughs at his jokes. 

Joey turned 5 today, his older sisters and Dad gathering around to sing him happy birthday, and Eleanor made him a chocolate cake!

With spring came rain and storms to the town of Brindleton Bay. As it turns out, Dorothy is terrified of thunder, and her poor siblings have to deal with her incoherent screaming with every clap of thunder.

And with rain comes mud puddles... right outside the backdoor. 

So. Many. Mud. Puddles.

Edie has started attending the local school. By her face I’m sure you can tell how it went.

Dorothy is getting too big, she’s no longer the clingy younger sister, even when Edith wants her to be.

Edwin has grown into quite the handsome little man, brown hair just like his mom and brother. He’s much more reserved than his older siblings, rarely fussy, and always asking to be read to.

It’s Dorothy’s 5th birthday! And Eleanor was pregnant once again, a bittersweet pregnancy, as she knew it’d be her last.

With Dorothy and Edith old enough to somewhat understand the pregnancy, they were ecstatic to meet their new sibling, full of questions!

Loretta Anne Lovings was born at the end of 1897. Eleanor and George opted to putting her bassinette in their room, worried about a crying baby waking up the other children.

“I didn’t think it’d be an actual baby!”

Little Joey is up on his feet now, the first of his siblings to have brown hair like their mother!

With three toddlers in the house Eleanor had her hands full. One second she’d be scolding one of them, the next second another was screaming from the other room. She had her work cut out for her, and she was vastly outnumbered. 

Luckily the chaos in the house was short lived, as Edith soon turned five, growing into the spitting image of her father. 

With Edie old enough to help around the house, Eleanor was less stressed, she finally had some time to herself and she was even learning how to play the piano!

George was still absorbed in his work, coming home exhausted every day, though he still tries to find time in his day to spend it with his children.

Edith was still as close as ever with her father, running outside to greet him when he came home from work every day.

They grow up too fast! Edie celebrated her 13th birthday.

For her birthday she wanted some proper knitting help from her mom. Apparently Edith gets performance anxiety,,

Robert came over to celebrate Edie’s birthday and was promptly grilled by George. 

The teen angst is hitting Edie. She’s taken up painting as she’s no longer in school, and despite the look on her face she really enjoys it!

As a late “birthday present” Robert took Edith to the new seafood restaurant at the pier. She had a hard time masking her nervousness around him.

She thought the nausea was the dissipating butterflies,,, it was not. She should’ve know the clam chowder tasted off..

To kick off the 1900′s, Edwin celebrated his 5th birthday!

Still a reserved and shy boy, he enjoys spending time alone or with his mother. He’s also taken on the role of Dr. Lovings, healer of baby dolls.

Edith has made friends with a boy from school named Robert. He lives not too far from the school house, and the pair sometimes run to his house to play in the garden.

Eleanor and George both celebrated their 30th birthday at home with the kids.

And as a birthday gift Eleanor and George bought themselves some new clothes (to stay in style of course)!

Birthdays galore!! Loretta turned five, bittersweet as Eleanor packed away the last of the toddler clothes.

Edith isnt the only one who made friends at school. Joey has befriended a girl named Emilie! His sisters make fun of how nervous he gets when she’s around.

Though he’d never admit it.. he thinks shes very pretty.

George and Eleanor,, theyre like rabbits I tell yah. Her growing bump wasn’t much of a surprise, though with another one on the way George worried about where they were going to fit all these children. 

Edith was just as energetic as ever, running around and making messes. The dollhouse George had built for her was getting lots of use (and the poor wooden dolls were getting chewed on).

George’s garden was in great shape. He was very proud of his oversized crops (especially his giant pumpkin!).

George and Edith were as close as ever. Edith is a bit of a clingy child (exhibit b) but George is more than happy to give her all the attention she needs.

Eleanor felt bad about not being able to spend as much time with Edith, though George reassured her, telling her she was doing a great job taking care of Dorothy as well as the baby on the way.
