Hello, I'm edkn-mark2 formerly known as edkn. Once upon a time I had your typical small time blog on the fandom side of tumblr--I reblogged a random sampling of fandoms and posted a bit of my own art when ever I got around to making it. But then I was automatically logged out and none of my passwords worked; attempts to change the password only informed me that tumblr didn't even recognize my emails. So here I am, starting a new blog like a drug addict in relapse like a phoenix rising from the ashes, and I thought I'd tell you a little bit about me. 

I've never before talked about myself or posted a picture of myself of tumblr before, but now's as good a time as any I guess. My name is Emily, and I look like this:

What the heck does edkn mean?

It's my name less most of the letters. E is my first initial--the rest of my name is a secret I will guard as closely as the Doctor guards his. 

What are your fandoms?

There's really too many to go into right now, but Doctor Who (classic and new), Lord of the Rings (and the Hobbit and the Silmarillion), Star Trek, Batman, and the entire genera of animated films are some big ones. 

Other stuff:

I'm a college student and a hopeful Literature Major. I'm a Christian. I live in Minnesota, and I'm late for dinner, so that's all you're getting for now.

since you asked, and I am indeed a follower who pretty much never talks to anyone--I am Emily. My favorite color is green. I don't really participate in shipping, but for Lois Lane and Clark Kent, I make an exception. There's this local ice cream shop that sells this really amazing raspberry-chocolate chip ice cream flavor, but if we're talking about the basics here, I will defend vanilla as a real flavor (and a good one at that) any day. And, no, I don't have a cat.

Ohhh from Superman or Smallville or whatever right? As you can see, I don’t know a lot about DC =_= Mmmm that sounds good… I should visit ice cream shops more often but then I think of money and I want to cry.

Despite the fact that I'm a huge snob about good character development, one of my favorite TV shows of all time is the old Mission Impossible series--a show with absolutely no character development at all and minimal characterization. (I couldn't come up with an interesting fact, so I thought up a random one).

Well, this is going to be a bit unrelated to your post kind of lol, but I have never watched the Mission Impossible film series with Tom Cruise… or frankly anything with Tom Cruise. I came close during psyc class when we were supposed to be watching Rain Man because it was the last couple of classes of the term, but yeah, I skipped those classes.

Hi :) are you guys at all familiar with the court cases currently going on regarding the health care mandate on companies to provide abortifacient drugs? Because I've frequently seen a lot of people complaining about pro-lifers pushing their beliefs on other people, but in reality it is the other way around and people are actually fighting to have the right to NOT fund abortions.

I have, and while I do have to update myself a bit on the latest ones, it makes me very excited! I must admit I agree with you completely! Imho, I think that the HHS is actually more pro-abortion than pro-"choice." Nobody is trying to make birth control illegal, I mean nobody. If anyone says so they are being ignorant and/or lying. We just don't want to fund abortions and/or someone else's birth control. So thank you for your insight! -Rebecca
