Future Plans for EDM4L
Okay, I figured you guys deserved to know about some of my future plans for this blog as many of you have been following me for the last two years. This blog has grown very much in the last two years. It has become an avenue for me to express my true love for Electronic Dance Music and my opinions involving this scene. I feel like I can offer more to you guys than what I have been offering so here are some of my plans..
1. News: I want to incorporate news in to the blog. I want to update you guys on whats going on in the world of dance music. I think it will be cool to inform you guys on things like new album announcements, events, and issues involving EDM.
2. New Music: I know that I already post music that I like but I want to expand on that. I want to share new stuff with you guys as well as classics. I feel like I only post music occasionally when I should be posting music pretty regularly.
3. More Original Content: I want to post more original content like photography, gifs, and blog entries. I used to make gifs pretty regularly and they got a pretty good response but I've been slacking on that. I want to start creating some more original things.
4. Guest Writers? : Building on number three, I want to have some guest writers to write about their experience with EDM. I also want to create a community where people can submit stories, art, and music.
5. Monetizing The Blog: This is a big one and maybe a controversial one. I want to begin monetizing my blog by enrolling in affiliate programs and maybe doing some minor advertising. Do not worry for I will not spam you with advertisements or cover my blog in horrible Google ads. I will find creative ways to do so that will not detract from the quality of this blog. I also do not want people to think I'm trying to monetize the scene and make money off of you guys because that is NOT what I'm doing. I put a lot of effort in to this blog and it would be nice to be able to make a little side change off of it. I just want you all to rest assured that I will not ruin this blog by doing so.
6: New Theme: Ever since the start of this blog, I've had the same theme. It has worked very well as it displays gifs and pictures very well. I have received many compliments on my theme and I'm very thankful for the positive response. I want to find/design a theme to harbor these new changes as the theme I currently have only works for gifs and pictures. Rest assured that whatever theme I choose will only improve the blog.
These are just a few things I'd like to do. Whether or not they all happen is one thing. I just wanted to inform you guys of some changes that will be coming in 2014. I see great things happening in the third year of this amazing project that I've undertaken and I hope that you guys will hop on board.
