Roller Derby!

This is a bit off of what I'l usually cover on here, but I feel it has to be mentioned as anyone who wants to explore the culture of the city may be interested.

Last night C.A. and I decided to go out to a roller derby match. It was not what we expected but still very interesting. I recommend anyone who reads this look it up!

There are 2 leagues in Edmonton that I know of, and I recommend getting in to a match some time.

E-Ville Roller Derby seem to do most of their stuff in the spare hanger at the Aviation Museum.

Oil City Derby Girls Do their thing at the Edmonton Sports Dome.

Only went to the sports dome, and they had the traditional small event stuff. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and beer. There was also a sweets table, and one full of merchandise. We did zero research before going and thankfully there was a kind woman to explain the finer details that we were missing.
