last night

Last night had to have been the best night of my life since ending Footloose three months ago. I was nominated for three awards at my very first Edna's, and my sister was also nominated once. ACT! For Youth has been the greatest thing ever for me. I made friends and found my niche, the theater. I love my little family, consisting of several daughters and one son....that I can remember. My "son", well he is in my thoughts even at this very second. I want nothing more than to go to his house and give him a huge hug and be there for him. I want to know he's alright. I have no words to say about the matter currently, just that this boy is one of the most amazing people I've met and if not for him I probably wouldn't have done Footloose nor Treasure Island. Back to last night, the awards ceremony was hilarious. I laughed every second. I won for Best AFY Newcomer and my song "Learning to be Silent" won for Best Musical Performance. My sister won for Technical Teamwork. Footloose won for Best Show, which was no surprise to me because of the amazing cast and crew. I loved last night afterwards as well at the Matrejek's cast party but you know what happens upstairs stays upstairs...
