Relationships
There comes a point in time, where you’re past being lonely, you’re past making exceptions and you’re past the bullshit.
That’s the time you actually start enjoying being alone.
I was in a relationship that lasted 2+ years. Late March marks the anniversary of when I became a single woman. I went thru the I’m free then the I’m not ready to be in any relationship stage then eventually the I’m lonely stage and now I’m just over here on standby because I have tried, I have put my feelings out there and clearly it’s just God’s way of telling me to be patient and enjoy what I have now.
Yeah, I love having that one person to confide in, to text when something good happens or when something mediocre occurs. Or that person to send me a random joke or text that will make me smile for no reason. Who wouldn’t want that?
I am now at a point of just not caring and just being patient for one who proves their worth my time. Other than that, you’re just a joke whether we’ve had chemistry or not. I’m not taking anything serious until a man shows that he is.
I just am done wasting my time and effort on men who clearly aren’t on the same page. Therefore, I lick my finger and turn to the next chapter: Me & Only Me.
I don’t need someone to make me happy, I laugh at my damn self. I just am waiting for someone to enhance my joy, and share worlds.
People are amazing when they have the right intentions,
what are yours?
Introduction
Wassup. I'm Edubblove and I thought I would kind of put some info out there so you know who you're following. I'm 22 livin in this big world of ours where occasionally you run into someone who knows a friends friend of yours. I'm kind of into everything. Sports, photography, fashion, electronics, art, you name it. I try and continue to broaden my knowledge about various things because you shouldn't limit yourself. But anywho, I'm from California, grew up to be a woman with major personality who doesn't really care what many people have to say. I kind of have always held my own so I continue on. When it comes to my tumblr posts, it can vary from my own photography to my own thoughts/poems to random shit I reblog. Everything on here is me, and I don't reblog for follows nor try to gain any because that's not how this should work. It's not a popularity contest it's just people sharing interesting things. I will say I am highly a people person but I don't do it for attention, I do it cuz thas who I am 24/7. I'm a crazy, fun lovin, spontaneous woman who likes a little romance and wine. Or perhaps beer..................or shots of tequila. I'm young let me live. Haha. Well, I think I'm gonna be writing more on here but not for your entertainment but for mine. I kinda feel like I'm talking to myself in which I probably am but hey, I'm in my own world. :) -E
You are Heard (Written March 29, 2011)
You are Heard.
Sitting in a room, waiting in anticipation. ”Is she going to be okay?” he asks the nurse. The nurse states that there may be complications but that with a little time and understanding she will make it through. As he watched her laying on the hospital bed, he prayed to God asking Him to make everything right again. To him, he had nothing to stand for if she was not in his life. She helped him become the man he is today.
Frazzled, he left the room to get his mind off the situation at hand. He walked around the 3rd floor ICU and finally built up the nerve to ask where the cafeteria was. ”2nd floor….then from there follow the signs” said a nurse sarcastically, as if he were to have known that already. He has never been to a hospital which made him overwhelmed by the whole situation. But of course she didn’t know that and didn’t bother to ask either.
As he stepped into the elevator, a doctor joined him. He knew it was a doctor because of her different attire. She had a clipboard with her that looked like she was headed to a patients room. ”I wonder what happened to that person” he thought in his head as he slyly tried to glance over her shoulder. But as he figured out the name from the clipboard there was a loud “ding”. The doors opened and the doctor fled from the elevator as if it were on fire. He casually stepped out and looked for those signs the nurse was talking about.
“Cafeteria →” the sign said. “Well go figure” he mumbled aggravatingly. As he walked in the cafeteria, he then remembered the name of the patient to which to the doctor was rushing to…Benjamin Clemmons. Then he started thinking what was wrong with this Benjamin guy.
Was he old?
Was he young?
“Oh I hope he’s not a child..” he thought.
And as he sat there with his cafeteria food, wild stories came to him about the horrid things that could be happening to Benjamin Clemmons. “What if he’s dying, what if he got into a car accident and they have to amputate his leg? I just hope that whatever he is going through, everything turns out fine.”
Finishing his meal, he heads back over to the elevator. While waiting he can see the hallway of rooms that patients are in. He then sees the doctor in which he shared the elevator with helping a teenager sit back down in a wheelchair. The teen seems to have a cast on his leg but is smiling and so is the doctor. Everything seems to be going well and he takes a deep breath and believes that if you have faith, anything can be conquered.
As he heads back up to the floor in which his wife was placed, he is filled with hope. No longer afraid, he knows that no matter what happens, it is not his decision. It's God's. So he prays one last time before he heads back into her room….
”Dear God, whatever plans you have for me and my wife, I accept them because if you decide to take her life, I know that she will always be safe and that she will be happy, but if you bless me with another chance with her…I will cherish her every moment that I have. Thank you for placing her in my life…I wouldn’t change a thing.”
As he walked into her room, he kneeled beside her, brushed her hair to the side and told her that she was the most beautiful person he has ever met and that he wouldn’t of chosen any other person to be his wife. He looked away to wipe the tears out of his eyes and as he turned back around, he saw movement in her eyes. When she finally opened them, they looked into each others eyes and felt a love in such a way that they have never felt or experienced before.
She was awake again.
And he knew was that his prayers were heard.
