Yuva Rural Association past one decade has been working with the rural youth on moral values, strengthening their existing compassion, empathy and conscience and on the values that a soul must posses to become a good and responsible citizen. This has helped in revitalising the Rural Development Process in Maharashtra with majority of these youth becoming responsible citizens and continue giving back to the society in various ways and forms.
Past four months Yuva Rural Association initiated Value Education program under the banner of Child A Change Maker in privileged schools and working with the privileged children to strengthen the 21most essential values in them.
Past four months Child A Change Maker reached out to 43000 students through 76 sessions across Vidarbha.
The latest session was held in Subhash Montessori, Sausar and Carmel Academy Kalmeshwar, 1800 Students were sensitized in two different sessions. A brainstorming session was held on Determination & Courage and how it will help them to succeed and achieve their set goals. The second session was held on empathy, compassion and conscience. They were sensitized in a way which will help them grow as a responsible and good citizens. Jitendra Deshmukh, National Head, Child A Change Maker & Adv Carlton Frederick, Regional Facilitator, facilitated the sessions in Subhash Montessori & Carmel Academy, respectively.
Dr Hina Bhargava Wadekar, Principal, Subhash Montessori also contributed during both sessions. A pledge was also taken against, Child Marriage and we all pledged to become, eyes & ears of the authorities so incidences of Child Marriage can be stopped.
