Yeah I have a feeling Bill caught Ginny trying to teach herself and she flipped out because 1) she had dealt with Ron telling her no every time they went to the orchard to play and 2) she was probably out after dark and molly would kill her. And he was like nah just keep flying and watched her and gave her pointers and never said a word. Ginny just didn't tell Hermione he caught her bc thats really personal for her.
