Okay, music time.

This is swank swank swank in every sense of the word. The Hardanger Fiddle is a traditional Norweigan fiddle that has four sympathetic strings to go with its main four. These four strings are not played as the other strings are; instead, they vibrate due to the movement of air of the four main strings around them. It is played differently than traditional violin, often bowing two to three of the strings at a time.

Because of both difference in how it's played the sympathetic strings, it creates for a very very AWESOME sound, almost like multiple instruments at once. Just bossin'.
