My black hole study #1 is quilted, bound, and finished!

This is my own design based on the mathematical rendering of a black hole and when I drew it I did not think about how difficult the curves would be to sew, but I persevered. But I'm happy with it (as long as I don't look too closely at where the seams don't line up) and I'm very excited to work on black hole study #2

Both of my geese are pieced! This is gonna be a 36x36in wall hanging so I have some more flying geese to make but gah I'm so excited!

I've been so inspired by all the birds that are here in Michigan (compared to when I lived in Chicago), and when I was driving one day I watched a bunch of geese fly off into the sunset, which is where the idea for this quilt came from. Then I thought it would be cool to overlay actual geese over the traditional flying geese quilt block so here we are! I'm really happy with how it's coming along and I really feel like I captured the birds at sunset vibe I was going for.

Also, I do intend to turn this into a pattern and this was the first test. I have some corrections to make and have to write instructions but hopefully it will be for sale on my Etsy in May!

I've been working on a fourth wing quilt for the last year or so and I obviously needed a dragon for the center so I made my own fpp pattern and I think I finally nailed it

I feel kinda weird about it but I also decided to put the pattern up on my Etsy if you're interested.

Started a new quilt over the weekend! I'm calling it Geese on Geese. I was a little nervous about my color selections but I'm really happy with it so far!
