Basic idea of an Oblomov design yaaay !!! Didn’t turn out exactly as I’d hoped but . Still doesn’t Suck !

As said before he’d definitely look older . Like . Mid to late thirties maybe?

Wasn’t successful in my attempt in showing itbut ☝️ his face would look like he was constantly tired . But not like 🫩 more like ☺️+😴 if that makes sense at all .

Also not sure if it was clear but his hair is supposed to look like this flavor of sleeves (but like. A shorter version in the second image’s case)

Like Yōzō, his hair would look like. Outgrown? But less from neglect like Yōzō and more of just. Never getting around to cutting it. And his hair would look a bit messier . Like . As if he’d just woken up but not absurdly messy .

Like Rodion, he’d probably have the first few buttons of his shirt undone. And his tie is not done correctly At All.

Still not sure if I want to keep it, but I also thought about him wearing the vest like Meursault or Gregor, just unbuttoned. So that’s also a possibility . Similarly, considering him having glasses clipped to his shirt but not sure if I want to go with that or not.

I’ll probably be able to think of more details . Eventually

Okay anyways because I’m not sure if i ever said it . Lenore and Oblomov’s friendship is primarily one-sided until after Lenore’s canto . Like Oblomov likes Lenore maybe a Slight bit more than most of the other sinners. Like he’s mainly neutral but still kind/polite to everyone and Lenore is just sssslightly above that.

But he’s not an exception to Lenore’s avoidance of friends/connections, but xeir . Too awkward and anxious to let that be known + doesn’t think they have any right to do anything about anyone’s opinions of him so they just . Awkwardly deal with it.

Anyways the other thought i had was . They’re completely opposite in the sense that Lenore does Not like lacking any sense of autonomy and the thought of lacking any control makes him depressed/resigned at best and completely distressed at worst . Meanwhile Oblomov would not mind having a lack in autonomy. He wouldn’t mind anything that lets him put in less effort/energy into things. He’d be able to rest more and not strain himself, so he doesn’t see any problem with it . Lenore would obviously Not like that.
