Eevee Headcanons
Eevee tend to have strong trust for a trainer they have known for a long time, and are known to be one of the most loyal Pokémon there is. Some Eevee may stress about what they should evolve into- with so many choices, who could blame them? As such, they often take a while to evolve, and some even refuse to evolve all-together.
Eevee enjoy attention and affection, with heaps of fur, they especially love to pet petted on the head, or having their fluffy mane or bushy tail stroked. Expect an Eevee to jump on you while your sleeping, and lay down on top of you to rest. Their fur extremely soft, but they shed a lot. Your Eevee will need a lot of grooming, so always keep a brush handy.
Eevee are usually very good at hiding secrets, and can keep them for years. Secrets aren’t the only things they’re good at hiding, though, they can hide small snacks and objects in their fluffy mane or tail. It’s suggested to go through your Eevee’s fur before grooming them, as you may find a berry the Eevee had been saving for later, and a berry-soaked brush is something you don’t want to clean, along with an upset Eevee.
An Eevee’s genetics are fairly unstable, which can lead to Eevee getting sick easily. A sick Eevee is something you don’t want to deal with- when sick, an Eevee’s body temperature will steadily rise. It can be quite the challenge to keep them cool, between their rising body temperature and naturally warm fur. It is suggested to put them in front of a fan with an ice pack, or give them a bath in lukewarm water.
Your Eevee will be grateful when cared for, and will commonly bring you gifts, such as flowers, berries, and maybe even a Natu or a Fletchling!
