(Hello :D Thanks a bunch for the ask!) "Aurene's champion in another universe, and by all accounts incredibly dedicated to her--our?--job." [Her eyes are a bit sad, but her smile is genuine.] "I'm glad she has support. She is more than capable, but if there's one thing I have learned in my life, it's the importance of friends." [She pauses, then shakes her head slightly, letting out a half-laugh.] "She reminds me a bit of my best friend, actually. I wish her plenty of happiness and hope she lets herself take breaks, sometimes." Kerra has mixed feelings on seeing someone else with her "place", sort of, in another universe, but she very much respects and likes Efalynn. If they ever met, Kerra would definitely give her some hats for her minions, 100%.

I was wanting the fucked up Kryptis skyscale skin for Efalynn, but I've been really enjoying the Branded skin and think it fits better for her.

But I don't have a skyscale for Rhiannwen yet! And that got me thinking.

What if normal skyscales are put off by Rhiannwen's residual Zhaitan vibes, so she was never able to befriend one? And after she meets Efalynn again, Rhi has to begrudgingly admit this because she's not able to go on the flight around Janthir that Efy was suggesting.

So Efalynn, one of the best necromancers in the world at this point, works for days, wearing herself out and falling asleep on the sofa in the homestead cave, to craft a skyscale with far too many eyes and shifting skin and exposed bone.

She hands off the magical tethers to Rhiannwen, and her uncanny, silent sister starts cooing over this thing like a baby

forgal for the npc ask game!

Ok so I don't think any of my characters actually had Forgal as a mentor. In my canon all three died at Claw Island, so he wasn't spared just because Efalynn was Order of Whispers. But I don't really think about Forgal much ngl.

Efalynn definitely respected the guy, but only like she respected anyone who was willing to give their life for the fight. She only really thinks about him when she goes down a spiral of "All these people I couldn't save, who gave their life because I wasn't good enough" thoughts, and those have been getting much less common for her.

Ffoirre and Kallisto are my two Vigil characters in-game, but neither of them were around for Claw Island.

Kallisto is a bit younger, and I don't think she really pops up in the story until LWS4-IBS (my gut is saying Thunderhead Peaks, but I'm not sure).

Meanwhile, I don't think Ffoirre had joined the Pact at that time. He was still fairly fresh out of the Nightmare Court, and a significant part of his story is his reaction to the lack of trust shown when he does join the Pact. If he was around for Claw Island, those Pact members would've had to respect him at least a bit, and I think that's too early for what I want.

🌟 - what do they think about when they look at the night sky? is there someone they want to star gaze with?

Kallisto is from the Cycle of Dawn so she's very much a morning person, and she tends to be active right up until it's time to sleep. so she doesn't spend a lot of time looking at the night sky, and when she does it's usually due to insomnia. she likes to think about plans for the future, or to find shapes in the stars, since it helps her calm down.

she and Efalynn sometimes go on stargazing dates when they can find the time! they try and take some food if possible, and talk about Anything Except Current Events

📎 - a random fact.

I'll give you 3 for the price of 1 because I couldn't decide which to pick:

1) she and Efalynn are in a queerplatonic relationship. it tends to look romantic to outsiders, but that's how they prefer to define it

2) Kallisto doesn't get on very well with Ffoirre, my warrior and Efalynn's friend. Kallisto isn't super happy that he joined the Nightmare Court when he was a sapling, but she tries not to hold it against him since she knows it was a long time ago and he's trying to redeem himself. also they just have nothing in common (apart from caring for Efy), so they end up having ridiculous petty arguments every time they're in the same room

3) her favourite festival is Wintersday. she loves how generous people are to each other, but the best part is the food

💙 - do they miss their s/o easily? how do they act when their s/o isn’t around?

Kallisto misses Efalynn A Lot when either of them are on a dangerous mission apart from each other, and she'll be Really stressed until they're back together. she knows Efalynn can 100% handle herself, but with all the danger her partner gets into, Kallisto hates the thought of not being there with all her healing if something goes wrong. when they see each other again, Kallisto will be a little more clingy and affectionate for a bit, but while on the job she tries not to let it visibly affect her.

otherwise she's super easygoing. she'll be be happy when she sees Efy ofc, but she's a lot more chill about it

🌷 In what ways would your OC alter their body if they could? How would they do it using mundane means? What is their ideal look for themselves?

the main thing Efalynn would want to alter is her eyes, which turned solid white after the Domain of the Lost; it tends to unnerve people she'd rather work with. unfortunately it's not possible to hide (and she has tried, mostly with mesmer magic. it just showed through anyway).

her ideal look would be a little bigger and bulkier. it doesn't happen often any more, but it can be very frustrating for Efalynn when people underestimate her, since she's wearing pretty fancy clothes and it looks like she can barely hold up her greatsword. the element of surprise when she exceeds those expectations can be useful, but she can't stand hearing people say she got as far as she did through luck or leaning on her friends.

💜 Music or silence? Swords or spells? Cities or nature?

neither really? Kallisto likes to listen to the sounds around her, so no music, but also not total silence.

definitely spells. Kallisto is a guardian, and she may enjoy fighting with a mace, but she's a healer at heart. magically boosting her allies is what she lives for.

and lastly she's a people person, so cities.

🎀 Do they wear a specific accessory with a special meaning behind it? What is their usual fashion sense like? What do they wear when they want to be comfortable and what do they wear when they're going to a fancy party? Or do they just not care?

I think Thora definitely has something they wear dedicated to Dolyak, Wolverine, Owl and Eagle, but I haven't decided what that is yet. maybe a necklace or a bracelet with small coloured stones for each, or just a simple talisman they carry. whatever it is, it stays on them at all times.

Thora usually wears their armour everywhere. it's simple and not very eye-catching, but very well taken care of. when they want to be comfortable, they wear very plain and practical shirts, trousers and boots, and for a party those get a little fancier (but not by much). usually Thora's there for guard duty rather than as a guest though, in which case it's back to the armour. basically I realised halfway through writing this that I'm just describing Geralt from The Witcher, and. yeah

Raw power ☆☆☆☆☆

Efalynn is really good at necromancy. she's not Trahearne-level good yet, but he had much longer than her to learn -- she's working on it

Formal training ☆

Efy and Rhi both left the Grove as soon as they were able for Efy's Wyld Hunt, so she only got pretty basic training. the rest of it was learning on the job, whether through fighting, her mentoring from Trahearne, or from her research into necromancy

Combat experience ☆☆☆☆

Efalynn is the Commander, so this goes without saying. the only reason I'm not rating her 5 stars is because she's younger than the canon Commander

Willingness to kill ☆☆☆

she doesn't particularly enjoy killing in most circumstances, but Efalynn definitely isn't a pacifist, and she accepts that it's necessary. most of the time Efy knows she won't have the chance to talk someone out of violence, and Rhi was always much better at that anyway

once again, it comes with being the Commander. (the wording means I'm only counting sentient enemies though, otherwise it would be higher)
