i know a ton of people were excited when trump got covid, obviously being happy that he’d gotten his karma and that he’d go through what he had previously brushed off and belittled (or maybe even die), but to be quite honest, I wish he had never gotten it. why? because whether or not he’s actually doing well, he will say he is, and his supporters will believe him. he’s already started saying shit like “I feel better than I have in thirty years!” even if he is doing good, he will not acknowledge that it’s due to the care he & no one else has access to — he will instead say the virus as a whole isn’t a threat. this is the perfect opportunity for him to downplay it like never before, and the perfect timing too.
