i’m such a soft bitch for this kind of fic 😭 domestic gallavich, their little family, all the warmth and love they deserve… it’s pure comfort. like yes, give them happiness, give them peace, give them EVERYTHING.

i went in expecting something completely different and instead i ended up crying the whole time. Of course it’s hot and flirty and sexy but there’s something else that caught my attention: sibling love 💔 i read this and called my brother to tell him i love him.

two oneshots that literally have everything. like i’m not kidding. from hot moments, to dad mickey putting his kid first (I’M WEAK), ian and everything about him (his diagnosis, the way he is so IAN 🥹), mandy, the gallaghers… it’s just SO full and so real. these fics own my entire heart. i spent the whole day reading and completely ignoring my adult responsibilities and i regret nothing.

Here we are again. These are the fics i’ve read this week - again, just the ones i really liked.

#1 When you say nothing at all by energie_vie

This was so cute! 🥹 Ian drinking a potion to remember math for a test and experiencing a weird side effect: he can read people’s thoughts. Things get pretty interesting when he discovers what his best friend Mickey thinks about him.

#2 Pick Me Up by Calli_Writes

This is a reread, a worthy one. Ian is crazy about Mickey and that’s it for me.

#3 let the bodies do the talkin' by Captain_Jowl

Ok okokookok. This was 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 chef’s kiss. I don’t usually read unfinished fics cause they leave me sad and wanting more (and i’d want more of this, of course). But if it finishes like this, i’ll be happy nonetheless cause it’s SO GOOD. I love Mickey in this, and Ian too. I don’t know who i loved more. (bonus points for the sex scenes and the sexiness of all of it)

After reading this last one i spent the whole day reading almost everything by Captain_Jowl and I highly recommend y’all to do the same.

#1 The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Ian Gallagher by Shamelessquestions

This is the fic that held me hostage for three days straight. I ignored my life for nearly 40 hours for it.

And it goes straight to my favourites’ list. How was i missing out on this??

I don’t even know what to say, it was brilliant. But after all, I couldn’t expect anything else from this author.

#2 it's my party and i'll cry if i want to by em_harlsnow

I am obsessed. Every time Em posts, I just know I’m about to be absolutely wrecked by their love. It hurts so good.

Em has this incredible gift for characterization; the voices are so spot-on it feels like watching a lost episode of the show. If you haven't read it yet, what are you even doing? Go read it now!

#3 spice up your life by Squiddy

this one was so cute 😭 i love when they’re actors or famous people. They were cuties as best friends and they’re even cuter as boyfriends. I wish it had been longer, I loved it so much. 😭

#2 Dancing After Death by Squiddy

This is a big one in the fandom and at first, I was a bit scared I wouldn’t enjoy it since I’ve never watched Sons of Anarchy. WELL, I was clearly wrong because I loved this one with all my being.

I’m a sucker for a good story where Mickey is still in the closet and has to go through this deep, internal journey of self-discovery.

I absolutely loved the way they found each other and just let go, falling in love instantly, proper soulmate shit.

#3 Beat the Buzzr by CrossMyDNA

You guys have no idea how much I LOVE this trope. Social media AUs, sexting... I think it might actually be my favorite thing ever. The author is also one of my absolute favorites in the entire universe, so recommending this one was basically mandatory. I won't say anything else, just trust me on this. Go read it.
