“First show of the 1995 summer European tour takes place in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The band start off in high spirits and bash out some classic punk rockers right off the bat.
The audio quality is pretty good, I personally wouldn't rate this as ‘excellent’. I think this may have been recorded with room mics only, but I may very well be wrong. As such, the band seems a bit distant and everything's kind of boomy with the low end. The sound to me lacks detail which make the quieter songs suffer, ie. Fell, Destroyed. On the other hand, the heavier songs are more like an onslaught. There's quite a bit of chatter coming through from the audience on the more somber moments which can get distracting.
A confident and heavy By You is a highlight for me here. There's some nice sing-along going on during Suggestion. Give Me The Cure has the intro cut.
A killer Killtaker duo of Returning The Screw and Smallpox Champion finish the main set in a fiery manner. Brendan #1 as an encore is quite a surprise for me here, because the overall feel of the show is more on the confrontational side. It rules nonetheless, so no complaints! Definitely a highlight. Sweet And Low merging into Repeater is awesome, although I'm pretty sure there is a small cut in the bridging jam moment. How Repeater explodes from the toned-down moment is just so beautifully intense.
If you want a show that has the feel of a very good audience recording and some angry performances, then grab this. The band is on fire here in a tumultuous period of MTV-instigated stage diving and moving to a much more dynamic style in their playing.”

Djax-Up Party in Eindhoven / The Netherlands
Last week in music
Last week was likely the most intense week - when it comes to music - that I’ve ever experienced. As always in October, the Amsterdam Dance Event took place, where over the course of 5 days you can choose from 500 events to attend all over Amsterdam.
I’ve been going to ADE for the past few years, and I really enjoy it each year. This year I went to 3 events and I thought I would talk a bit about them, and recommend some music for those interested!
Wednesday I went to see the American Jazz/Electronica duo Tennyson (brother and sister) inside the Crane Hotel. Which is literally in a crane, pic below... It was a very exclusive concert, for like 40 people maybe, but the vibe was incredible, and Tennyson were great. I’d attended one of their concerts earlier this year, but this time they played stuff from their new EP and it was so fun. They have a really cute music style and aesthetic, I recommend you check out their recent Uh Oh! EP and the earlier Like What? EP
I mean look at them they’re adorable:
Then comes Thursday... I went to the Hospitality event with a bunch of friends, which is an event organised by Hospital Records, one of the world’s biggest Drum & Bass record labels. This started at 11pm and ended at 6am on friday morning. Obviously I stayed till the end, getting home at 8am, very aware that I had class about 5 hours later lmao. Good times though, solid DJ sets all around but I was mostly there for the Russian artist Bop, best known for giving birth to the Microfunk genre. You should totally check his track The Backbone Flute
Then on friday is fucking tired lol but I went back to Amsterdam in the evening again, this time to see the Swedish duo Gidge. They make a sort of Ambient-ish Techno with a hint of Garage. I’m not necessarily a huge fan of them, but my best friend is so I came along, and actually really enjoyed it. They did a live set of about an hour long, if you’re interested in what kinda stuff they played, best check their track Huldra
And that was it for ADE, but I also went to another concert on sunday, one that I for some reason thought was in November, so I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was a concert from Dutch composer and pianist Joep Beving. He makes very minimal, easy to listen, simplistic but beautiful piano compositions. He was very humble, seemed very kind and his performance was impeccable. Also he was a MASSIVE cutie. Tall guy, long black coat, incredible beard and long messy hair... His appearance was almost as mesmerising as his music lmao
Ok so that was my week I hope someone enjoys this post, if no one does that’s ok though because I had fun writing it ok byeeeee
