Midnight Arrival
@sunshine-muses
She was beside herself. Completely unsure of what had just come to pass. Only a few moments ago she was in so much discomfort she couldn’t even call out to Vola for comfort. She’d never felt what she’d experienced before. And it was nothing like when she’d been poisoned and choking on dragons-bane, or dragon-rose.
It all happened so fast.
The hard lump that had been in her belly for roughly the last few months growing steadily was gone. So was the feelings of nausea, aches in her legs and small of her back and tail, and the immanency that had sent her from the bed where Vola and Arrona lay sleeping. Out in the garden she had gone to get a little water and it had happened.
And now Draconna was staring at an egg. Iridescent yellowy greens and golds in splotches across it’s surface. It was roughly half of Arrona’s height. Maybe a little taller. And Draconna could feel warmth and life force in it.
Her Egg. Her and Vola’s egg. She struggled with how wobbly her legs felt. “Vola... Vola~!” She called out finally, from under the old willow tree by the pond.
