Professional PractiseÂ
For our professional practice we were asked to find resources for possible placements we would want to take. I am personally torn between looking for something with environment design/concept art for video games involved or possibly photography.  I managed to find a few artists who are mostly concept artists from what I've gathered off social media. The artists that I have found are; Paulo Galamgam, http://sjanweijers.tumblr.com/, and http://eggbadger.tumblr.com/. I really enjoy these artist’s work and feel their work is a good example of the work I wish to do one day if photography is not my route. Looking online it looks like a concept artist role is the type of placement I’m looking for, researching on the skills that are needed the thing that actively puts me off is that knowledge in 3D programs you need to be able to get the job role, personally I have struggled using Maya but have no other experience in 3D programs. Other than 3D skills I feel I wouldn’t struggle to give artistic input into a company or struggle for ideas. I feel a job in the games industry working as an artist would give me a massive confidence boost and also shed some light on the industry for me more. I feel I would be more creative over time and also gain people skills I feel may have disintegrated over time Â
