Many worlds, many stories never have a happily ever after. Especially within the shinobi world, filled as it was with blood and often senseless death.
For the members of the former Team Minato, it seemed as if they would never have a happy ending, either. Of course, everyone knows what happened with Obito Uchiha, trapped beneath the hard earth for a time, but rescued and returned to his village. Rather than return to active duty, however, he went the route of the civilian.
Rin Nohara, not long after, was near fatally wounded in the line of duty (at least that was what she would say happened when asked, that it was while on duty and not due to her own misguided beliefs), and while she was still able to move and live mostly as she had before, her chakra pathways were altered and damaged on top of the physical damage. So, she too moved to life as a civilian, knowing that she would never be able to act as she had before as a medic.
This left one Kakashi Hatake without a team.
Starting out as little more than a whim, the two retired ninja started up a small cafe, a place for civilian and ninja alike to rest and eat.
As time moved on, and Kakashi visited (and occasionally helped with) the cafe, they found that they were a good deal more popular than initially expected...
...due to Kakashi and Obito.
What had started as a simple cafe turned into something more, although the food remained but the company was more...pleasant for lack of a better word.
In fact, the cafe’s patronage seemed to boom -- almost exclusively with the female population.
One day, one of the ladies requested to spend time with the pair of boys (men now, really, and fairly nice looking ones at that), and that started a trend. It kept true to the original purpose of the cafe, if a bit differently than planned.
And it looked to be leading to a rather unconventional happy ending for the three. With luck.
