It has to do with the teachings the cyclical nature of things in this case it is a cyclical nature the male and female, in the jera rune one is male and one is female cycling around each other basically refers to the matriarchal age which is the age that women ruled, the patriarchal age are men ruled, and then the dual gender society we're both men and women rule together of which we are living in now, we have left one age and entering into another.where men and women will have the energies of both sexes in one person.
