Eggnog pie - 1964
Eggnog Pie
I'm baking his eggnog pie.
Eggnog Pie
I suggest you make this for christmas
I made the rest of the eggnog into pie. I found the mini graham cracker crusts at the grocery store!! I did my best to overfill the crusts so I would use less of them, but if I'd filled them reasonably, I don't think I would have used all the pie filling.
It was such a fun recipe to try out! I might try it again next year if I remember.

Personal note: I didn't really taste the eggnog, but given how long I had to hand mixer beat the eggs to get them thick and light yellow, I now highly suspect that my mom never took this much time with the eggs and why I hated her eggnog and automatically hate any eggnog. Hers was always filled with slimy egg whites. To this day, all these decades later, just the word "eggnog" triggers that awful sense memory.
