Seen as a tom at birth, Dollpaw always struggled with her gender and sexuality. She was always a strange kitten, quiet and curious. Herbs interested her, and some cats thought she’d become Snakeriver’s apprentice, everyone was surprised when her brother, Loonpaw, took up that responsibility instead. It wasn’t until Dollpaw was a senior apprentice when she began to realize that she was actually a molly. She came out to Loonpaw first and he was quick to start respecting her pronouns.

It took some time for Dollpaw to come out to her mothers and the Clan. It was the middle of Winter, the Clans had enough to worry about, she didn’t want to be a burden. It was Smoketuft who talked her into doing so, saying her brother, Puffinfeather, had a rough time coming out as well, but when he did the Clan was very accepting.

Dollpaw had her mind made up. She’d tell the Clan on the first day of Blossom. It took time to work up her courage, but it felt better when she did so. She changed her name to Dollpaw and Rainbowstar held the ceremony that day.

Dollpaw thought her troubles were over, but was quick to realize Sharkseer was watcher her closely. In fact, a of the Seers of other Clans had their eyes on her. The attention made her anxious. Did the Seers know something she didn’t?
