welcome, to the annual mystic falls fair & the night of the comet!

this year, the fair is a bit more special as it is on the same night as the night of the comet festival! two celebrations in one, isn't that great? originally discovered nearly 3 centuries ago, the comet hasn't been over mystic falls in over 80 years. now, the comet will be its brightest right after dusk during tomorrow's celebration. eat some cotton candy, shoot some bottles, catch a rubber duck and win your partner a stuffed animal, watch a movie in our open cinema, drink hot chocolate and grab a pack of sugary churros - all the while watching the comet pass by the town.

the place? of course, the town's square. the time? the fair opens at 5PM. remember to bring a blanket, if you want to lay down and watch the stars from the small hill right next to the clock tower. police will be present, due to some animal attacks that have occurred in the past few days, but we as organizators are sure that there's nothing to worry about.

Hello hello ! We’ve been wondering about the best speed at which to move the in-game date along, so thank you to everyone who took the poll to help us decide ! Results were very mixed, but we’ve decided that our baseline speed will be to allot one real-life day to each in-game day, so that the rp doesn’t get stuck moving too slowly. That being said, this only applies to in-game days during which nothing of note happens ! For events, plot drops, even character birthdays, we will stretch the in-game date to encompass multiple real-life days, the exact number depending on what’s going on and how much time our members want. Keep in mind that the in-game date only affects what day it is when you post your starter; replies can keep going even once we’re well past the date those events took place in-game. And even then, flashback threads are always welcome !

Let us know if you have any questions ! As a reminder, the current in-game date is October 23rd. We will be moving to October 24th on Wednesday !

NIKLAUS MIKAELSON and his siblings have decided to open their family’s home for all of mystic falls’ residents. they believe that given the new circumstances around town, that’s the only way to keep the peace between everyone. for the past 14 days, the dead have risen and the darkest of creatures, DEMONS, have found their way back to earth. asked by bonnie bennett and the rest of the gang to do so, they have agreed that it’s acceptable to do so. only time will tell what shall happen during the ball, surprises never lacking when it comes down to a mikaelson party.
