ok i just reblogged a users thing on kfam and i just wanted to yap on a post myself. So i kinda stalk the tag and its full of criticism (which is great because the show isn’t perfect and can use some Greatly needed tweaks that the creator doesn’t want to listen to *eye roll*), but also some just straight up bashing. I love hating so I obviously don’t have a problem with people just Straight up not liking it, power to you… but if you use your own prejudice abt the show or the creators to bastardize the show’s messages or reasons for character plots/arcs/etcs.. You’re super annoying! I mentioned this in the rb but there are so many moving parts to the show that just because you dont like the creator, doesn’t mean you can just throw away everyone else’s hardwork on the show.

examples of complaints that i’ve seen and can’t stand:

1. its too raunchy/the humor is mean: You watch south park calm down. But also like… okay?? some people like that kinda humor, not everything is sanitized copy paste fun love no cursing rainbows. If it’s not for you, then it’s not for you.. it’s not a comment to how valid the show is because they say fuck on occasion

2. sammy being gay and his arc came out of nowhere: You obviously don’t have media literacy because from like day one there has been little moments that hint at sammy’s past. His aversion to everyone referring to him as “shotgun” is obvious, but then you have him correcting pete when calling dwayne and kirk friends, his voice being scratchy at the beginning of ep49 because he Probably just stopped crying abt jack and is dismissing his feelings for the show, etc. His whole thing is being cagey and a closed book, only letting everything out when greg pushes him later. Plus the show ended prematurely at ep 100 which is rlly short for current audio dramas, so that means we hypothetically would’ve had more time with these revelations than not

3. greg’s character is inherently abelist: i saw someone say that greg is autistic coded and therefore everyone dogging on his ‘special interest’ of frogs and his relationship with his grandma was insensitive and ableist. None of these things imply he was meant to be autistic or made to make fun of autistic people.. he’s literally just a freak. He was made to be a gross adult child who depends on his grandma and is freaky w frogs. idk if you see these aspects and are like “we’ll he’s clearly neurodivergent and this demonizes that”.. Idkkkk thats weirdd. I mean of course it’s fine to have headcannons and autistic people aren’t just one way, everyone can be a freak neurodivergent or not.. but to use your headcannon to shit on cannon and therefore the creators intentions w the character.. That just makes no sense to me.

Yeah that’s all i got for now. if i think of anything else ill probably rb w more in the tags or smth. Now again, im not saying the show’s perfect, it has some genuine shitty stereotypes and themes and kyle’s a dick but Idk.. ur not going to hell because you like an audio drama.
