[VID] 140823 GOT7 Egyo & Forever Young
How Cute Korean Girls Get What They Want: Since I saw this video I being testing egyo on my male co-works. I haven’t in a long time, and today I wanted chocolate but I was toooooo lazy to go an buy me some so… I used my egyo… I am happy now )+_+(
"Diamonds are a girl's best friend." - Marilyn Monroe
Not exactly diamonds but more like clothes and shoes...and other small trinkets like phone accessories, computer things, etc. And what better place for shopping then here in Taipei. Bought so many shoes for 200NT - 390NT ~ $6 -$13 each and a ton of nice clothes ranging from 50NT - 250NT ~ $1.50 - $8 each. Others that are considered more fashionable and part of the current trends range from 400NT - 600NT ~ $13 - $20 but honestly, that's overpriced for Asia. Take care of your clothes and they'll still last for years. Mine have ;]
Apparently I like Miki waaay too much <3
The only tricky thing was finding clothes that weren't too fobby that I would actually wear and not buy just out of sentiment. Not gonna lie, some of the things I saw were disgustingly cutesy and I know some people who would actually wear them...gross.
Not pictured: more shoes/clothes bought after this pic was taken :]
Sigh, things in the U.S. are gonna seem expensive for a while...
I don't take many selfies, but here are two I took on this trip. Looove these buys :D
Korean-style dress. 100NT ~ $3
Stripe laced-shoulder top. 100NT ~ $3
Of course for great deals you gotta bargain. That's a huge plus shopping in Asia and where language can save you big bucks (they'll actually up the price if they know you're a foreigner). Anything over 250NT can be reduced by at least 40NT ~ $1.30. Like in Taiwan, to have a more 台灣口音 (Taiwanese sound) you gotta sound more 娘 (niang) and yes, the guys here do it too to an extent. 娘 can be said to sound "softer", more "cutesy", or gag worthy to me. It's similar to the Korean egyo and pretending to be cute when you're way above the appropriate age. Don't know what disgusting egyo is or want an example of sounding 娘? Click here.
Sounding a bit more 娘 and less foreign did help me get a great bargain though. Cut the price of an originally price 790NT ~ $26 Korean-style backpack down to 500NT ~ $16. Yay!
Yeee! But I still refuse to use the Taiwanese version of egyo outside of joking with guy friends. I think I'd puke, but for a few minutes I can tolerate sounding like a whiny 10 year old for the right incentives :]
For funsies a girl's before and after makeup side by side comparison. Thank you humid Taiwan weather for a pimple breakout.
This is probably the only time I'd do the fobby smile without teeth. I discovered the reason why so many Asians in Asia smile this way...their teeth o.m.g. are disgusting! Any way crooked imaginable I've seen including teeth lined front to back like domino tiles. There seems to be little oral hygiene here too. So many well dressed and groomed guys but once they crack a smile...grey/purple gums along with zigzagged/yellow teeth. Ewww pls, definite deal breaker.
